Day 1

FLIGHT TO NEW YORK

Travel to New York. Arrive early afternoon. You will be met on arrival and transferred by coach to your city centre hotel. Evening at leisure. New York is teeming with life - 24 hours a day. Day 2

NEW YORK

Enjoy a city tour of Manhattan’s attractions this morning. Included are famous sights such as Times Square with the Theatre district, the Metropolitan Opera, Columbus Circle, Central Park and Museum Mile with the Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Continue along Fifth Avenue past St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Centre and the Empire State Building. The tour will also pass through Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown and Little Italy. Day 3

NEW YORK – NIAGARA FALLS

Today drive across the state of New York via Binghamton and through the Finger Lakes region. According to Indian legend, these long-stretched, narrow lakes in the Finger Lakes region were created when the Great Spirit grabbed the world and shook it in anger, leaving the imprints of his fingers on the land which eventually filled up with water. From the Finger Lakes, continue your journey towards the Canadian border to Niagara Falls. Spend the evening at the romantic Niagara Falls. Hotel: Best Western Plus Cairn Croft Hotel

Day 4

NIAGARA FALLS – AMISH COUNTRY

This morning you will have time to explore the awesome natural wonder that is Niagara Falls. Witness the sheer power and magnitude of white water plunging over 60 meters. Ride into the falls aboard the Maid of the Mist (optional), stroll along Table Rock to view the thundering waters of the Horseshoe Falls. Join an optional trip to Skylon Tower for lunch at its revolving restaurant. Skylon Tower, hovering 775 feet above Niagara gorge, features an observation deck that affords views of an 8,000 mile area, truly, almost as far as the eye can see. Day 5

AMISH COUNTRY – GETTYSBURG – WASHINGTON, D.C.

This morning travel through the Appalachian Mountains along the picturesque Susquehanna River, the longest river on the American East Coast. This afternoon, visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground, site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil, and the place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. Afterwards, you will journey to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Enjoy a memorable evening tour in this exciting city (optional). Hotel: Doubletree Washington DC/Silver Spring

WASHINGTON D.C.

Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the John F. Kennedy Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Day 7

WASHINGTON D.C. – PHILADELPHIA

This morning, we continue our journey to Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love” and the birthplace of America, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. Here you will see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell on a comprehensive city tour. Join us this evening for an optional dinner at one of the cities most famous venues for the local delicacy of Philly Cheese Steak. Hotel: Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel

PHILADELPHIA – NEW YORK

This morning we return to New York City Airport for our flight back to Ireland.
