A PERSONAL APPROACH
Our experienced staff and established reputation are an immediate
assurance of a memorable holiday in the care of a company that still
sees its clients as individuals and seeks to provide a personalised service.
HOLIDAY PRICE IN EURO
All our holidays are priced from Dublin in Euro. You may also depart
from Cork or Shannon where suitable connections are available, (flight
supplement may apply).
EXTEND YOUR HOLIDAY
Many of our tours can be extended to allow you to stay on for a further
few days (or weeks) at the town or city where your tour ends. Or you can
join two tours together or avail of some of the other alternatives to
extend your holiday.
AIRLINES
Holidays featured in the Slattery’s Escorted Tours brochure are based on
the scheduled services of many of the world’s finest airlines including
Aer Lingus, British Airways, KLM, Qantas, South Africa Airways, Air
Canada and Iberia.
FLIGHT UPGRADES
We are delighted to be able to upgrade your flight to business or first
class with a wide selection of our airline partners. Generally the
benefits of upgrading includes priority check-in facilities, increased
legroom and superior in-flight seating, separate aircraft cabin, airport
lounge to be used at your discretion, and exceptional in-flight meal
menu and bar service. The extra comfort afforded will enable you to
arrive at your destination more relaxed and refreshed and is the ideal
way to enhance your whole holiday.
OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS
While on tour, we believe in the need for leisure time after sightseeing
or travelling, therefore we have specified throughout all tours which
days are free for you to relax or go shopping. However, for those who
wish to see more of the destination or try something a little different,
your tour guide will offer you additional optional excursions where
available. Your tour guide will assist you, while on tour, by offering a
complete list of tours available, advising costs and by also booking
these excursions for you. Our aim is to provide you with value for your
money by offering you the best options to make the most out of your
holiday experience
HOTELS
The hotels we use on our tours range from first class to good tourist
class hotels. They are generally centrally located. All rooms have
private facilities and many hotels have licensed restaurants, cocktail
bars and recreation facilities such as swimming pools and spas. In
remote areas such as National Parks or small towns where this standard
may not exist, accommodation may be more simple or rustic.
YOUR COACH
The coaches provided are air conditioned with semi reclining seats and
generally on - board toilet facilities. All coaches are non- smoking.
These coaches are not owned or operated by Slattery’s Travel. In some of
the countries we visit, not all facilities listed are available. On some
tours, if the numbers do not warrant a full size coach, a smaller coach
may be used.
ON TOUR
On some tours we arrange an efficient and complete luggage service on
arrival and at departure from each hotel. You will never have to carry
your own baggage and we tip the porters for you. In a small number of
cases, this facility may not be available, especially in a number of
European cities.
INSURANCE
Insurance is compulsory on all tours. Details of the cover provided and
the premium are contained in the price insert.
MAKING A BOOKING
Your travel agent will be pleased to make a booking for you on any of
our tours. You may also call in person to our office or phone us to make
a reservation or enquiry. You must complete a booking form and pay a
deposit. Because of the ever changing nature of airfare structures, and
the increasing availability of instant purchase airfares our deposit
will vary from booking to booking. If you accept an instant purchase
fare at the time of booking this must be paid in full (together with
your travel insurance) in addition to the normal Slattery’s Escorted
Tours deposit of E300 per person (E450 per person for cruise bookings)
PRE-ASSIGNED SEATS
You should appreciate that airlines do not guarantee any particular seat
and reserve the right to assign or reassign seats at any time, even
after boarding of
the aircraft.
PASSPORT, VISAS
Each passenger must be in possession of a full passport valid for 6
months beyond the date of return. Some countries also require a
visitor’s visa. Details will be supplied with confirmation of your holiday.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Generally there is a maximum allowance of 20kg per person.
TICKETS & TIMINGS
About 2 weeks before departure we will send you a holiday wallet with
your tickets, luggage labels and flight times, all of which should be
checked carefully.
MEDICAL
At the time of going to press, no inoculations are compulsory to enter
any of the countries in our brochure. More detailed information will be
provided with confirmation of your holiday - you are recommended to
consult your doctor for personal advice.
TAXES
There are two types of taxes mentioned on
our price boxes - Airport Taxes and Departure Taxes. Airport Taxes are
included in your invoice and are featured on your airline ticket.
Departure Taxes are generally local taxes, imposed by some airports and
cannot be paid in advance. The amount is paid at the point of departure
in US$ or local currency. All taxes are subject to change.
SINGLE TRAVELLERS
We are pleased to accept a person travelling alone on a willing to share
basis. If however we fail to provide a suitable ‘match up’ then the
single supplement will be charged. For those who prefer a room to
themselves, a limited number of single rooms will be available at a
supplementary charge. These must be requested at the time of booking and
are subject to availability.
ITINERARY CHANGES
All itineries are subject to change without notice.
